MANCHESTER, NH October 27, 2022–Manchester Republican state Senate candidate Rich Girard released the endorsement of NH Senate President Chuck Morse, today. Morse, the longest serving Senate President in state history, is the state’s foremost expert on the budget, and has been credited with blocking a broad-based income tax while effectively leading the charge to cut business taxes to spur economic growth.
“I’m very pleased to announce my support of Rich Girard’s senate candidacy. From his time at City Hall and on the Manchester School Board, I know Rich understands budgets and will be a tough fighter for the taxpayer and policies that lead to economic growth. He’ll do it The 603 Way and expand our New Hampshire Advantage. This stands in stark contrast with what the Democrats are advocating with their past support of an Income Tax. The best way to stop the Democrats’ Income Tax is by voting for Republicans like Rich Girard on November 8th.”
In accepting the endorsement, Girard said:
“Senator Morse’s leadership has been indispensable to our state’s success. From the time he fought Democrat Gov. Maggie Hassan to cut taxes and pass a budget that pulled us out of our last recession, to now, he’s cut taxes and restrained spending. His leadership made possible school choice options that benefit hundreds of underserved Manchester families, the phase out of the Dividends and Interest Tax that penalizes seniors, the removal of CRT from our schools and a responsible budget that produced record surpluses while meeting our state’s needs. Working with Governor Sununu and Speaker Packard, Chuck Morse has delivered real results for the working families of Manchester and New Hampshire and I am honored to have his support.”
